GAY NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
Then and Now
A group of local people hope to start a History Project which centres on lesbian, gay and bisexual people in Nottinghamshire. The Project
may qualify for a large grant from the Lottery Heritage Fund.
The Project could involve: gathering oral or video records of peoples' experiences and views; setting up displays and exhibitions across the
County; collecting memorabilia (copies or originals) e.g. photos of you and friends at LGB events, publicity flyers for LGB events/venues
past and present, relevant newspaper cuttings, documents/newsletters/minutes of LGB groups and organisations ....
Are you interested in any of the following:
- helping to organise the project
- being interviewed about your views and experiences
- providing or loaning "memorabilia"
- just being informed about what's happening.
|
Until the project gains a life of its own, Switchboard is acting as a contact point, so if any of the above things apply to you,
leave your contact details with us by sending an e-mail to notts@lgswitchboard.fsnet.co.uk and saying which of the
4 areas of involvement interests you.
University of Nottingham LGBT Association.
An association within the Students' Union our membership automatically includes all students who identity themselves as lesbian, gay,
bisexual or trans. We receive a grant which means that we don't need to charge a membership fee or even keep a list of members.
This means that any involvement you have with LGBT can be confidential if you want.
